The Cairo Genizah contains almost 280,000 fragments of Hebrew books of great value. Many of these are liturgical compositions, or piyyutim, composed between the fifth and thirteenth centuries by oriental poets. Reconstructed, revocalized and translated with critical notes by Meir Wallenstein. No. 8 of "Publications of the Faculty of the Arts of the University of Manchester.' Illustrated with b/w photographic reproductions. Text in English with some Hebrew. Some staining, sunning and minor creasing on dw. Signed and dated in pencil by previous owner on front flyleaf.
