Rare bulletins of the National Olympic Committee (NOC) of the German Democratic Republic. Both issues illustrated with b/w reproductions of photographs. The committee was established in 1951 but not until 1956 did East German athletes take part in the Olympic Games. The GDR became an official member of the International Olympic Committee in 1968. Text in French and English. Minor creasing to wraps. Slight staining on bottom edge of front wrapper in 1959 issue. Overall very good condition. Scarce. Item #26136
