Scarce and fascinating work being the first of what was to become a twenty-two volume series of Parisian private residences. This study of Le Temple and Le Marais is complete in itself, and is profusely illustrated with 40 plates of b/w photographic reproductions of exterior and interior decorations of Parisian residences. Ex-library copy with library sticker on upper front joint, and library bookplate (the J. Paul Getty Museum Library) on inside of front board. Minor shelf wear and slight rubbing along joints.
