Illustrated throughout with reproductions of photographs and drawings in duo tone. Most photographs were taken by members of the submarine crew. Includes an article "Kiel 1851", looking at the beginnings of the possibility of using submarines in warfare. Some age wear, chipping and creasing on wraps.
