The book looks at Stalin's Five-Year Plan and the efficiency and superiority of the Russian worker and workforce of the early 1930's. The Five-Year Plan was a list of economic goals designed to strengthen Russia's economy, making the nation both militarily and industrially self-sufficient, however, Stalin's plan of collective farming led to a famine that killed millions of people.
