Unique original handcrafted metal artwork by German artist Fritz Kühn (1910-1967), in the form of a bowl forged from steel with a molten copper layer, accompanied by the original design with notes by Kühn. The bowl weighs 3.2 lbs, measures 6 3/4" x 6 3/4" in diameter at the widest-, and 4 1/4 x 4 1/2" at the shortest point, with a height of 1 1/2." The original design is drawn in pencil, with notes and signature (in red crayon) by Kühn on a 5 1/2" x 8" piece of scrap paper. Verso of paper with some typewritten dialogue, not related to the subject. Some chipping on top-edge of paper, otherwise very good condition.

Includes b/w reproduction on page 100 of a photograph showing the copper-bowl described above. Many additional b/w plates of vases, bowls, textiles, glass, wood, book bindings, etc., by Dore Bartcky, Willy Gursky, Marte Heister, Louis Held, Karla Ihlder, Ralf Langematz, Heinrich Ziegler, Fritz Kühn, and others. Includes one color reproduction of a photograph. Signature of previous owner in pencil on title-page. Some creasing and minor age wear on dj, otherwise in very good condition. Text in German.

Bruckmann. 4to. 154,pp. Three-line birthday inscription by Kühn to a young lady on free front endpaper, dated 28.5. 59. Profusely illustrated with b/w reproductions of photographs by the artist of his work with wood, metal and steel, architecture, as well as sections on Kühn's work as a photographer. Black cloth with red cover- and title-label. Boards slightly bowed. Minor staining and scuffing on binding. Text in German. Overall very good condition.
3) Berlin. ND. Ulrich Riemerschmidt. 1.-3. Tausend. Sm. 8vo. 24pp. Wraps with original, attached dust wrapper. Illustrated with 14 b/w photographic reproductions of decorative metalwork by the artist. Text in German. Slight age toning on dw, small chip on bottom edge of dw on front. Overall very good condition. 4" x 5 1/2" postcard by Kunsthaus Tempelhof with invitation to the Fritz Kühn exhibition "Hier spricht das Eisen," laid-in. The exhibition took place in Berlin from February 21 - March 22, 1948.
4) Two page fold-out leaflet "Schmiedekunst Fritz Kühn", also by Kunsthaus Tempelhof, laid-in. Illustrated with two b/w photographic reproductions. Slight creasing to leaflet, otherwise very good condition.
