Deckled fore- and bottom page edges. Twelve poems by Tania Crocker Whitman. Rare work, printed by John Henry Nash (1871-1947) who was famous for publishing finely crafted editions of several works. Tania was the daughter of the Cocker banking family of California, and was a noted member of the bohemian community of expariates, writers and artists centered around Sylvia Beach's Shakespeare and Company Bookstore, in Paris, during the interwar period. She and Beach were friends, and Whitman ocassional worked in shop and lending library, in addition to being a significant patron. Creasing and some discoloration on wraps, few tiny closed tears on edges. Wraps in good+, interior in near fine condition. Scarce. vg. Item #23801
