Near fine copy of one of the first published works with color photographs. Illustrated with 12 stunning color reproductions of photographs of winter scenery and landscapes by German photographer Hans Hildenbrand (1870-1957). Hildenbrand was one of the pioneers of color photography. Later he became well-known for his photographs taken during World War I. Photos tipped-in on heavy black card- stock. Three page foreword in German by Paul Dinkelacker. Minor creasing on edges of wraps. Top right corner bumped affecting pages throughout slightly. Wraps in overall very good, interior in near fine condition. Important work of early color photography. vg. Item #23685
