"A Critical Grammar of the Hebrew Language" by the same author preceded this work. Isaac Nordheimer (1809-1842) was a German-Jewish author. After emigrating to America in 1835 he became a professor of Hebrew and Oriental languages at the University of New York. His other main work, besides contributions to the "Biblical Repository," was "The Philosophy of Ecclesiastes." Heavy age wear, staining and chipping on binding.
