A rare catalogue of an exhibition held in Düssedorf in 1926 of art works in relation to sports and physical training. Foreword by Dr. Walter Cohen on Art and sports and art and physical exercise. Illustrated with b/w reproductions of paintings and sculptures by artists such as Renoir, Rousseau, Slevogt, Max Liebermann, Deusser, George Gross, Degas, Breker and others. This was the very first expo combining sports and health in art. Minor discoloration to wrappers. Text in German. Near fine condition. Rare.
2. Oblong 48mo. Gray wraps. Small booklet of 10 6x3 1/2" photo gravure postcards with b/w reproductions of photographs of the pavilions specially built for the exposition, and the surrounding area, including restaurants, fountains, the sports hall, and the city at night. Three postcards detached but present.
3. Two 3 1/2 x 5 1/2" photographic postcards. One depicts Düsseldorf at night from above; the second the pavilion built for the exposition with the small train that transported visitors.
4. A 1 3/4" small teacup and matching 3" saucer, both white with gold outlining. The cup has the exposition's emblem on its side. vg. Item #22104
