Limitation page: "Handpressendruck der Officina Serpentis in 200 Exemplaren. Den Mitgliedern und Freunden der Soncino-Gesellscahft zum 17. Februar 1929 gewidmet von Menko Max Hirsch." A more common edition, limited to 600 (die ordentliche Veröffentlichung), was published around the same time. Minor scuffing and staining on boards, tail of spine slightly frayed, 2" along top-edge of back board sunned. Text in German, Gothic script. Tight copy of Gotthold Ephraim Lessing's 1749 one-act comedy "Die Juden." Text in German. Binding with one to one and a half inch darkened strip along top of back cover, a quater inch along cloth binding. Endpapers and edges lightly age-toned.
