John Cook Wilson (1849 - 1915) was an English philosopher. After becoming a Fellow of Oriel College, Oxford in 1873, he was appointed Wykeham Professor of Logic in 1899. In the same year, he becamed a Fellow of New College, Oxford, a post he held until his death. Even though he was raised onthe teachings of British idealism, Wilson promoted philosophical realism. Among his students were H. A. Prichard and H. H. Price. (Source: Public Domain)
