Ferdinand Bruckner (1891-1958), born Theodor Tagger, was an Austrian-German writer and theater manager. In 1917 he founded the literary magazine "Marsyas" and in 1922 the "Berlin Renaissance Theater". By 1933 with the Nazi's in power, he emigrated to America but in 1959 returned to Germany. Until his death in 1958 he worked as an advisor in the Schiller Theater in Berlin.
