Gustas' "Fantastic Realism" is presented here in facsimile handwriting juxtaposed with corresponding motifs by Konrad Schüler. "In a period of German literature that has emphasized social relevance and ideological commitment Aldona Gustas has maintained a very personal, lyrical voice. Karl Krolow, prominent critic and fellow poet, has referred to her as and "Einzelgänger" - a "lone wolf" on the German literary scene" Litanus, Lithuanian Literary Magazine, 1981). Aldona Gustas, a Lithuanian born poet, read at the "Galerie am Abend" in 1964 and her title "Notizen" was one of eight volumes published in the Vera Ziegler Edition Galerie am Abend from 1965–970. Konrad Schüler exhibited a number of times at the Galerie and his artwork was paired with poets in four of Ziegler's publications.
The "Galerie am Abend" (Evening Gallery) was founded by Vera Ziegler. Exhibitions, readings and meetings were held in Ziegler's apartment in Berlin-Friedenau in the evenings and on weekends. Between 1960-1969 it was the "in-place" to meet for artists in Berlin. In the nine years of its existence artists and poets as, Ekkehard Thieme, Christa Reining, Günter Bruno Fuchs, F. C. Delius and H. C. Artmann were part of the gallery's program. Text in German. Some discoloration and minor staining to binding. Spine sunned. Minor staining to margins of one page not affecting image.

In 1972 Aldona Gustas co-founded the so-called "Berliner Malerpoeten (Painting Poets of Berlin)," a group that included Günter Grass, Günter Bruno Fuchs and Wolfdietrich Schnurre.
