Narrative of a Mission to Bokhara in the Years 1843-1845 to Ascertain the Fate of Colonel Stoddart and Captain Conolly

Edinburgh: Printed for the author by William Blackwood & Sons, 1852. Sixth edition. Hardcover. 8vo. xxi,346pp. Brown cloth with lettering in gold on spine. Some scuffing and rubbing to binding. Signature of previous owner to inside of front board. In 1843 the author went to seek two British officers, Lieutenant Colonel Charles Stoddart and Captain Arthur Conolly who had been executed by the Emir of Bukhara, Nasrullah Khan in 1842.
