München: Zentralverlag der NSDAP, Franz Eher Nachf. 1935. First edition. Softcover. Octavo. 32pp. Original illustrated red wraps with black and reverse red lettering on cover. Publisher's device on title page. Anti-Soviet propaganda by Nazi propaganda minister Josef Goebbels. The cover illustration, showing a roughneck in prisoner clothing and a hand tearing off his mask, is signed Mjölnir (Thor's Hammer in Norse mythology). Hans Schweitzer, known as Mjölnir, was recruited by Joseph Goebbels and produced many posters and was promoted "Reich Commissioner of Artistic Design" in 1937. He was fined during the denazification and boycotted after the war, but found work designing posters for the West German federal press and information office and the far-right press.
The first chapter of the booklet is headlined "Bolshevism, the International of Horror." The booklet elaborates on objectives, methods and Jewish financing of the Soviet Imperialism, which pretends to be programatic atheism while covering up for its origins as a Jewish International. The conclusive chapter designates the Soviet Government as a criminal organization that has to be seen as the enemy of all nations. The inside back cover offers five of Goebbels' publications, "to be obtained through every bookstore." Protected by modern mylar. Text in German, Gothic script. Minor wear with light age-toning of block. Near fine condition. Item #46519
