Illustrated with 15 tipped-in b/w photographic reproductions of women and men in the nude, (11 show women and 4 men) "the purpose of this work is to provide a series of carefully selected figure studies from which Art Students, and particularly those who cannot conveniently command the services of living models, can gain a valuable insight into the varying characteristics of the human figure."
The photographs of the female figures are by Bertram Park (London), and the photographs of the male figures are by Navana (London). All the males have fig leaves added to the image. Notes for the art student on opposite page of each plate. Each page is tissue guarded.
Age wear to wrappers, with minor to moderate creasing and closed tears along edges, and water staining to lower edge of front cover, as well as to lower joint of back cover. Some age toning to glassine protecting the first and last page. Wrappers in overall fair, interior and plates in very good condition. Scarce. fair to vg. Item #20073
