Vol. 1: Die zionistische Bewegung bis zum Ende des Weltkrieges: A detailed account of the Zionist Movement until the end of W.W.I, including the diaries of Theodor Herzl and various publications in relation to new political developments were considered in this second edition. Vol. 2: Die zionistische Bewegung 1918 bis 1925, first edition in 1937. Contains table regarding the status of Jewish settlements in Palestine in the year 1914 including name of settlement, year founded, population, size of area, harvest yields, methods of cultivation, and type of cultivation. Bibliography and register at rear. Authoritative history of Zionism by the well respected Vienna merchant and manufacturer. Böhm was one of Martin Buber's collaborators while publishing the monthly cultural magazine "Der Jude" from 1916–1924. He resisted Adolf Eichmann's continuous efforts to generate a list of the most influential and wealthy Jews. Due to his poor health Böhm was first transferred to various sanatoriums and eventually to the extermination camp Hartheim where he was murdered in March of 1941.
