Agudat Israel is a political arm of a coalition of various orthodox Jewish groups advocating for laws in Israel based on the observance of the Torah and Halakha (Jewish religious law). "The report submitted to the Fourth Knessio Gedolo (by the Agudas Israel World Organisation), European Executive) is a brief survey of the activities of the world executive in London since the Third Knessio Gedolo. The programme of the Agudas Israel World Organisation as defined at its foundation Conference in Kattowitz in 1912, was stated as being "the solution - in the spirit of the Torah - of all problems which periodically confront the Jewish people as a whole". This object, the Kattowitz Conference asserted, was to be fulfilled:

(a) By the co-ordination of orthodox Jewish effort throughout the world, in particular between the Jews of Eastern and Western Europe.
(b) By work in and for Eretz Israel.
(c) By the amelioration of the economic position of Jews in the lands of need.
(d) By the creation of a Jewish press and literature inspired by Jewish tradition.
(e) By systematically furthering Jewish religious education and the study of the Torah.
(f) By the representation and protection of the interests of the Torah-true Jewish people."
