Majority of designs measure 8 3/4" x 11 1/2", some samples slightly smaller. 400 wallpaper designs by twenty-six German wallpaper manufacturers were chosen by the Deutschen Werkbund Hessen e. V. as the most interesting of 1966/67. 141 of those are present in this work. Includes floral, ornamental, geometric, linear, as well as strikingly beautiful hand-screened samples by famous manufacturers such as Norta, Rasch, Deuta, Salubra, Borges, Saphir, Solta, Die feine Tapete, Hildesia, and others. Majority of samples in color. Last ten designs show special 100% washable wallpaper. Each sample with name of manufacturer, serial number and price printed on verso. Foreword by Ludwig Prinz von Hessen und bei Rhein and Rambald von Steinbüchel-Rheinwall. Text in German. With laid-in original typewritten letter by Verband Deutscher Tapetenfabrikanten (VDT) on their letterhead, as issued. Letter dated May 1966. Wrappers and interior in overall very good to near fine condition.
