Rare pictorial Firmenschrift of the German Steinkohlen-Bergwerk (coal-mining company) Zeche Emscher-Lippe in Datteln in the Ruhrgebiet. 27 original b/w photographs mounted on heavy card stock. The photographs show exteriors and interiors of the mine and various departments, equipment, residence of workers, gym, as well as various machinery. Two photos depict workers marching on the first of May wearing uniforms with the Nazi armband. Two other photos show company buildings decorated with Nazi flags. Printed captions in German. Some age wear, creasing and scuffing on wraps. Some rippling to card stock. Photographs in near fine condition. Scarce.
