The work looks at disability insurance, Workers Welfare Association and social care in early 20th century Germany. Title-page, illustrated by Hanns Anker. xlii pages of index with 19 in-text architectural plans. Three-page foreword by Dr. Freund. 99 pages of text and b/w reproductions of 172 in-text photographs followed by 100 leaves with 186 b/w reproductions of photographs, 4 b/w paintings/drawings (artist unknown), as well as 4 plans of which one is in color. The photographs show exteriors of German health resorts & sanatoriums' which were financed by the Landesversicherungsanstalt Berlin. Few images with staff and patients. In three parts: Abteilung I: Das Heilverfahren von Geh. Oberregierungsrat Elle. Abteilung II: Die Förderung des Kleinwohnungswesen durch die Versicherungsanstalten von Geh. Regierungsrat Dr. jur. Small stamp "Staatswissenschaften" with handwritten "Schrank D XIV" on inside of portfolio flap. Inside of lower flap repaired with gray tape. Minor creasing on spine. Portfolio in overall good, interior in very good to near fine condition. Text in German. Elaborate publication with over 350 illustrations. Scarce.
