Engraved frontispiece in each volume. Large engraved allegorical vignette on each title-page. Engraved initials and headpieces. Scarce first edition of this beautiful "large Bible of Mortier", profusely illustrated with numerous full-page engravings and large engraved vignettes, as well as 5 double-page engraved maps. Edge wear on bindings with both spines partly detached, but still holding. Lower part of front joint of first volume cracked over 3 inches. Upper part of back joint of second volume cracked (3"). Lower part of calf on front cover of first volume partly detached but still present. Corners bumped and rubbed. Some staining and chipping on endpapers. Outer margin of paper partly rippled. Sporadic and minor foxing throughout. Text in Dutch. Bindings in overall poor, interior in good+ to very good condition.
